Caring careers with compassion

This writing is about caring careers. Not all job are business-like. There are some job that are altruistic. What I meant is that these professions are motivated by the wish to care for and nurture other people.

What is compassion? Compassion makes one want to do something to help another. This is what set it apart from other kinds of careers.

Here are some example of caring job:

1. Social worker. The people in this careers deeply feel for the suffering of certain people within a society. This less fortunate people includes the aged and the disabled. Driven by deep compassion, the social worker work in the much underrated career of taking care of these latter group of people.


2. Childbirth Doula. She is there to ease the discomfort associated with childbirth. A Doula offer assistance to an expectant mums.

As most of these careers are not glamorous, they are not highly publicised. This is not doing them a service. The people in these careers are doing mankind a great service.
